Leavenworth County Fishing Derby is July 10

Leavenworth County will be the host of the annual Mel Hedrick Fishing Derby from 8-11 a.m. Saturday, July 10 at Jerry's Lake, southeast of Pennsylvania Avenue and Garland Street in Leavenworth. The derby is free and open to children 3 to 15 years of age.
Trophies will be given to first- and second-place finishers in three age groups. Refreshments will be provided.
