Basehor boys crush Ward in substate opener

The Basehor-Linwood boys basketball team opened with a 15-4 run and never looked back in a 65-31 victory against Bishop Ward Tuesday night at BLHS.
With the victory, the Bobcats advanced to face Eudora at 7:45 p.m. Friday in the Class 4A substate semifinals at BLHS.
Austin Stubbs scored a game-high 16 points and Richie O'Donnell added 11 to lead the Bobcats.
BLHS is now 19-2.
