BLMS 8th-graders sweep series with Clark

BLMS 7th-grade basketball remains undefeated

The Basehor-Linwood Middle School eighth-grade girls basketball teams swept a series with Clark Middle School on Wednesday, Nov. 10.

BLMS won the varsity game, 37-22, and received a game-high 11 points from Naqari Harris to go with 8 apiece from Marriah Clayton and Madison McDowell. Sarah Ford scored 5, Quinn Walcott had 4 and Alexis Nichols added 1 for BLMS.

In the junior varsity game, BLMS cruised to a 33-12 victory. Nia Sitzmann scored a team-high 14 points for BLMS, Taylor Keesee had 7, Madison Langford had 6, Kennedy Bowers had 4 and Emily Vitt added 2.

The varsity squad is 6-0 this season and the JV is 3-1.

The Basehor-Linwood Middle School seventh-grade girls basketball teams are undefeated this season after sweeping games with Clark Middle School and Pioneer Ridge.

The varsity squad beat Clark, 22-15, in Wednesday, Nov. 22. BLMS used a balanced attack as Zoey DeLeon, Madi Wheeler, Nicole Rutherford, Jenna Mussett and Madison Sibert had 4 points apiece and Chandley Easley added 2.

The BLMS JV squad rolled to a 25-2 victory behind a game-high 8 points from Rachel Tindell. Courtney Robinson added 6, Miriah Mahoney had 4, Hanna Dickey scored 3, and Anya Armstrong and Mikayla Grover each added 2.

BLMS then swept Pioneer Ridge on Monday, Nov. 15. The varsity cruised to a 41-20 victory as Sibert scored 10 points, Mussett scored 9, Easley and Jenna Donnelly each scored 8 and Wheeler chipped in 6.

The BLMS JV won, 22-8. Dickey and Allie Johnson led the way with 6 points apiece, Mahoney scored 4, and Erin Heinen, Robinson and Tindell each had 2.
