Recycling event Saturday

America Recycles Day will be at the Mr. and Mrs. F.L. Schlagle branch of the Kansas City, Kan., Public Library from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20.

The event will include a kitchen composting demonstration at 10 a.m., a recycled art class at 11 a.m. and a youth-friendly, hands-on activity about landfills called “Gooey Garbage” at 1 p.m. For more information, call the library at (913) 299-2384.
