Fairmount firefighters remembered at Wichita ceremony

Two former Fairmount Township firefighters who died in the line of duty were among those honored at the ninth annual Kansas Fallen Firefighters Memorial Ceremony on Sunday in Wichita.
The ceremony featured a reading of the names of Kansas firefighters who died in the line of duty, including Fairmount's Bernard Eberth, who died in 1975, and Jared Moore, who died in 2004.
Moore's family traveled to Wichita to attend the ceremony, said Marlene Moore, Jared's mother.
