Basehor-Linwood schools earn Standard of Excellence awards

Basehor-Linwood schools earned 10 building wide Standard of Excellence awards and 19 grade-level awards from the Kansas State Department of Education for the 2009-10 school year.

The awards are based on performance on state assessment tests in reading, math and science.

Schools receiving Standard of Excellence awards in both reading and math were:

  • Basehor-Linwood High School
  • Basehor-Linwood Middle School
  • Basehor Elementary School
  • Glenwood Ridge Elementary School.

Linwood Elementary School received the building-wide award for math.
