KCKCC panel to discuss ‘employability’ skills
Kansas City Kansas Community College will be hosting a panel of industry/business experts Wednesday, April 13, who will address their ideas and concerns relating to Essential Employability Skills.
The event will take place at the Performing Arts Center, KCKCC Main Campus, in two sessions, one beginning at 9 a.m. and the other at 10 a.m. The later presentation will be provided by live videostreaming at KCKCC-Leavenworth Center.
Most employers are now placing increased emphasis on 21st century employability skills. For the panel, the KCKCC Workforce Development Committee has invited representatives from companies such as Quest Diagnostics, Kelly Scientific, UPS, Thatcher Funeral Home, and others to talk about the essential skills required of new employees, as well as address the problems they see with potential employee skill sets.
