Goals continue to elude BLHS soccer

April 14, 2011

Offense continues to elude the Basehor-Linwood girls soccer team this spring.

Through five games, the Bobcats have scored just four goals and been shut out three times.

The latest setback came Friday when the Bobcats traveled to Spring Hill and returned home with a 5-1 loss.

Spring Hill’s Kaitlin Pritchard led the Broncos with four goals.

The 5-1 loss came on the heels of a 10-0 loss Tuesday, April 5, at Piper. It was the second time BLHS has been beaten 10-0 this season.

Opponents have tallied 28 goals through five games.

Basehor-Linwood (1-4) will try to find an offensive spark when it plays at 6 p.m. today against Tonganoxie at Chieftain Park. After that, the Bobcats play host to Piper at 6 p.m. Friday. BLHS plays Kansas City Christian on Monday and Bonner Springs on Tuesday.
