Basehor Community Library to honor outgoing director Sunday

The Basehor Community Library will have a retirement reception for library director Carla Kaiser from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, May 1, at the library, 1400 158th St.

Cookies, water and lemonade will be served at the event.

Kaiser is retiring after working 26 years as the library's first director.

The library's new director, Diana Weaver, will begin work the first week of May. Weaver comes to the Basehor library from the Atchison Public Library, where she was also director.
