High school dance team wins Miss Kansas awards
January 20, 2011
The Basehor-Linwood High School Bobcat Dazzlers dance team took home several awards Friday and Saturday at the Miss Kansas Drill Team festival at Olathe South High School in Olathe.
The Dazzlers earned a Sweepstakes Award and a Shining Star Award, both given to teams entering three routines in the competition while earning high scores from the judges.
They also earned a judges’ award for polish and precision on their pom routine and judges’ awards for showmanship on their jazz and novelty routines.
This brief has been corrected to reflect that the Bobcat Dazzlers are the dance team at Basehor-Linwood High School.

Seriously, that would be the High School Dance Team. Basehor-Linwood doesn't have a Middle School Dance team.

Correct you are, of course. That was a typographical error that we should have corrected before publication, as "Bobcat" is in the team's name, after all. This online version has been corrected, and we'll run a correction in this week's print edition. Thanks for drawing it to our attention.
