Sporting KC’s Collin out with back injury
Sporting Kansas City announced on Thursday that central defender Aurelien Collin is expected to miss about six weeks while recovering from a back injury.
Collin has a non-displaced fracture of the transverse process of both the L2 and L3 vertebrae in his lumbar spine.
Collin, who suffered the injury during Sporting Kansas City's 4-2 win over Toronto FC last Saturday, has started 15 games during his debut MLS season after signing in April from Vitor'a Futebol Clube in Portugal.
Collin has recorded three goals, including two game-winners, in MLS play and has started all but one game during the team's current 12-match unbeaten streak.
