Education briefs: Basehor students earn college honors

1996 BLHS graduate earns master’s at KU
A Basehor-Linwood High School graduate has graduated from Kansas University with a Master of Science degree.
Erica Jana Grover-Woodbury, a 1996 graduate of BLHS, graduated from KU with a Master of Science in nursing, majoring in organizational leadership and management.
Grover-Woodbury earlier received a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Baker University.
McAfoos is All-American
An Ottawa University student from Basehor received several academic and athletic awards at the school's spring honors convocation in April.
Emily McAfoos of Basehor received NAIA All-American Scholar-Athlete awards for cross country and track and field, a KCAC All-Academic Athlete Award for cross country and a Champions of Character National Sportsmanship Award for cross country.
Basehor student on dean’s list at Central Missouri
A student from Basehor earned a spot on the Dean's List at the University of Central Missouri for the spring semester.
Nate Hopkins of Basehor landed on the list by earning a grade-point average of at least 3.5.
