Trail half marathon March 19 in Lawrence

The Pi-Day River Rotation Half Marathon will take place at 8 a.m. Saturday, March 19, in Lawrence.
The event, which was created in conjunction with the mathematical constant, pi — 3.14 — takes place the Saturday after Pi-Day (March 14) at Riverfront Park in North Lawrence.
The race will be on a loop course consisting of a five-mile loop run forward and then in reverse, followed by a 3.5-mile loop to the finish.
Homemade pie will be available for all participants after the race.
Cost is $35 until March 16 and $40 after. All runners will receive a technical T-shirt with race logo. For more information about this inaugural event, go to lawrencetrailhawks.com.
