BLHS horticulture club having annual plant sale
May 11, 2011
The Basehor-Linwood High School Horticulture Club is having its annual plant sale from 3-5 p.m. today and Friday in the school’s greenhouse, which is in the back north wing of BLHS.
This year, the club has been growing basil, green peppers, jalapeno peppers and tomatoes. They also have many flowering plants including impatiens, begonias, lantana, geranium and others. There are also hanging baskets and an assortment of succulents. A ceramics class also made ceramic pots for some of the flowers.
All proceeds from this sale help to fund future projects in the greenhouse.
For more information contact Vicki Darr at vdarr@usd458.org or call her at the school (913) 724-2266.
