BLHS baseball advances to regional semifinals

Basehor-Linwood defeated Jefferson County West 7-2 on Monday, advancing to the second round of the Class 4A regional tournament.
In the semifinals, Basehor-Linwood will play a familiar foe in Tonganoxie. In a doubleheader earlier this season, Basehor-Linwood won 8-7 and 8-2.
Tonganoxie (8-13) defeated Sumner Academy 16-1 in its opening round game.
The regional semifinal will take place at 4:30 p.m. today in Ozawkie. Perry-Lecompton and Bishop Ward will meet in the other semifinal. The winners of those games will play at 7 p.m. in the finals.
