BLHS softball advances to regional semifinals

Step one is complete. Two more remain for the Basehor-Linwood softball team to return to state.
The Bobcats opened the Class 4A regional tournament Monday at Field of Dreams with a 15-3 rout of Bishop Ward.
BLHS will play Piper at 4:45 p.m. today in the semifinals.
Atchison and Tonganoxie will play at 3 p.m. in the other semifinal.
The winners of both games will play at 6:30 p.m. in the regional finals.
BLHS is 14-6.
