K-7 reopened in Bonner Springs

As of about 8 a.m. today, all lanes of northbound and southbound Kansas Highway 7 from Kansas Highway 32 to Nettleton was reopened to traffic, the Kansas Department of Transportation reports. The K-32 to northbound K-7 entrance ramp will remain closed for approximately another two hours.

A portion of K-7 in Bonner Springs was closed to traffic as crews made emergency utility repairs.

KDOT said that as of early evening on Wednesday, Nov. 2, all lanes of northbound and southbound K-7 were closed between K-32 and Nettleton due to a utility pole incident. Westar crews had to install a new pole to replace one that caught fire during the overnight hours.
