Bobcats, Cardinals tied at halftime
It's been a wild first half between Basehor-Linwood and Eudora in their Class 4A state playoff second round game at BLHS.
Eudora forced the Bobcats into a three-and-out on their opening possession, and the Cardinals quickly took a 7-0 lead on an 11-yard QB keeper by Derek Webb.
BLHS answered with a 16-play, 65-yard drive that included two fourth-down conversions. One of those came on a 6-yard touchdown pass from Colin Murphy to Ryan Murphy. Then the twins connected for the 2-point conversion and the Bobcats led 8-7 with 3:09 left in the first quarter.
Eudora reclaimed the lead with a 45-yard touchdown run by Webb on fourth down. The conversion gave the Cardinals a 15-8 lead.
The teams traded punts and turnovers the rest of the quarter until the Murphy twins connected for a 41-yard touchdown as time expired in the second quarter.
The game is tied 15-15 at halftime.
