Roll-over truck lands in K-7 exit ramp

Travelers on northbound Kansas Highway 7 exiting at Kansas Highway 32 had an obstacle this morning in the form of a truck laying on its side.

Bonner Springs Police Lt. Rick Schubert said the truck, driven by Amenah Tichenor, was on the ramp to enter northbound K-7 about 8:45 a.m. when Tichenor lost control on the wet pavement. She overcorrected, struck the median and ended up in the off-ramp, with the truck laying on the driver's side.

Tichenor had three passengers in the car — her fiance and two children — but Schubert said there were no injuries. Police on the scene were able to direct traffic on the off-ramp around the accident on the ramp's shoulder. As of 9:45 a.m. they were still working to clear the accident.
