Mayor’s Christmas Tree in Lansing accepting applications for assistance
A program that benefits the less fortunate in Lansing is gearing up for its annual holiday drive and looking for Lansing families to assist this year.
Since 1986, the Mayor's Christmas Tree Program has benefitted Lansing families in need by supplying them with nonperishable food, toys, clothes and grocery store gift cards.
If residents know a Lansing family in need, they are asked to submit the family's name by calling 913-727-3036 prior to Friday, Nov. 4, according to a news release from the city. This program is for Lansing residents only.
For more information, or to adopt a family to purchase all of their gift wishes, contact the Lansing Administration Department at 913-727-3036.
