Dedication of KCK cemetery monuments to be Oct. 3

Archbishop Joseph F. Naumann will celebrate Mass and dedicate two new monuments at noon Monday, Oct. 3, at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 126th and Parallel Parkway, Kansas City, Kan.

Mass will take place in the chapel of Holy Redeemer Mausoleum at the cemetery. After Mass, the archbishop and congregation will process to the outdoor Memorial to Victims of Abortion and to the Guardian Angel Shrine in the burial section of the cemetery that is devoted to infants and children. The Memorial to Victims of Abortion is a collaborative project with the William T. Fitzsimons Assembly of the Knights of Columbus. The Guardian Angel Shrine, made from fiber bronze, is the newest monument at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

All area Catholics and guests are invited to attend the Mass and dedication.
