Shocked by council behavior

To the editor:

I attended the Sept. 19 Basehor City Council meeting, and I was shocked and confused when the chief of police and the mayor did nothing when David Breuer, council member, got up, threw papers against the wall, cursed and stormed out of the building. This behavior is unbecoming to a city official and totally unacceptable.

What is shocking is that Basehor is developing a reputation for city managers as the Kansas City, Mo. school district has a reputation for hiring and firing school superintendents. Would you want to move your family and take a job with a company that is as divided and has a turn over rate like our city manager?
