There’s not a player on Bonner Springs’ 2012 football team that suited up the last time the Braves defeated Basehor-Linwood. That last triumph was a 35-14 victory in 2008. Since then, this rivalry has been all Bobcats.
Chief’s Corner: Drunk-driving crackdown coming

If you or someone you know sometimes drives after drinking alcohol or consuming other drugs, be warned that during the period of Aug. 16 through Labor Day, Sept. 3, there will be additional enforcement of Kansas drunk driving and other traffic laws as the Basehor Police Department participates in a crackdown with almost 150 other local police agencies and the Kansas Highway Patrol to educate about impaired driving and remove impaired drivers from the roadways.
Basehor council considering sewer fee break for multi-unit buildings

The Basehor City Council last week signaled support for a plan that would ease the burden of sewer connection fees for multi-unit residential developments or businesses, such as apartment complexes or hotels.
