Frontier League will not expand for time being
Basehor-Linwood and Bonner Springs will not be moving to the Frontier League, at least for now.
The Frontier League has decided not to accept any new members at the moment, according to David Howard, Basehor-Linwood superintendent.
Howard said at a Basehor-Linwood school board meeting Monday the district received word from the Frontier League late last week that it had denied Basehor-Linwood’s request to join. The letter from the league stated it had decided not to expand for the time being, Howard said.
Basehor-Linwood applied last fall to join the Frontier League, and fellow Kaw Valley League schools Tonganoxie, Bonner Springs and Piper had applied for membership as well.
