KCKCC tour heading to Europe
Kansas City Kansas Community College Fall Tour Abroad will visit the Alpine Jewels of Europe Sept. 24 through Oct. 5.
A 13-day junket, the trip will start in Switzerland and continue through France, Italy, Liechtenstein and Austria before ending in Salzburg and Munich. Highlights in Switzerland will include the cities of Lucerne, Bern and St. Moritz, Lake Geneva and Mt. Titlis and Mt. Pilatus in the Alps. Two days in France will include a visit to the base of Mont Blanc and the opportunity to take a cable car to “the top of the world” in Chamonix.
The famed lakes country and Lake Como will be visited in Italy, while the tiny principality of Lichtenstein is known worldwide for its wines, postage stamp trade and royal family’s hilltop castle. Innsbruck, the Austrian site of two Winter Olympics, will also offer the chance to see the famed “Disney castle,” Neuschwanstein, and the historic village of Oberammergau before the trip concludes in Salzburg, the home of Mozart and the city made most famous by “Sound of Music.”
The cost round trip from Kansas City is $3,569 double occupancy if signed up during January and includes daily buffet breakfasts, five three-course dinners, transportation and guided sightseeing. A full itinerary can be obtained by calling Alan Hoskins at KCKCC at (913) 288-7158 or by email at email@example.com.
