Follow Live: BSHS boys play host to Chrisman
January 27, 2012
Bonner Springs boys basketball returns to play tonight in its first game back after winning the Baldwin Invitational and after learning that coach Andy Price will resign after the season.
The Braves play host to Chrisman (4-10) at 7 p.m. Friday. Though their records suggest otherwise, the two teams are averaging similar offensive outputs — Bonner Springs averages around 60 points-per-game, while Chrisman averages about 54. The Bears defense is much more charitable than that of the Braves, allowing 911 points this season, compared to 516 by Bonner Springs.
The game is the first of three against teams with sub-.500 records with a Feb. 7 showdown with Lansing approaching. After the Baldwin win, Price said he hopes his team doesn't overlook the three foes ahead of them in the next week.
