NAACP’s Juneteenth set for Saturday

The Bonner Springs Branch NAACP will have its annual “Juneteenth: A Celebration of Freedom 2012,” 1-4 p.m. Saturday, June 16, at Lions Park, 300 W. Morse Ave.
Juneteenth is a celebration of the Emancipation Proclamation. Attendees are invited to bring a picnic basket, blanket or lawn chair for a day of live entertainment, guest speakers, games, food and other family-friendly activities.
