The Leavenworth County Commission meets regularly at 9 a.m. each Monday and Thursday at the Leavenworth County Courthouse, 300 Walnut St. in Leavenworth.

Agenda for the week of March 26:

Monday, March 26

9 a.m.: Public comment/administrative business/administrator's report

  • Approval of minutes of March 22
  • Diane Collins, human resources — salary statistics
  • Mike Spickelmier, county engineer — authorization to purchase replacement service truck

9:15 a.m.: John Forslund, buildings and grounds director — lawn mowing bid results

9:30 a.m.: Fran Keppler, noxious weeds director — discussion regarding in-service day

9:45 a.m.: Larry Malbrough, information services director — escrow disbursement discussion

Commissioners will review the bills for the month of March for the remainder of the day.

Tuesday, March 27

Noon: Mid-America Regional Council meeting, Kansas City, Mo.

Wednesday, March 28

11:30 a.m.: Leavenworth County Port Authority meeting at LCDC office

How about the county paving some of these gravel roads around Basehor. 147th street would be a good start from Fairmont road to Leavenworth road and then to Parallel. These roads have been neglected too long.
