BSHS’ Stock qualifies for state swim meet
The Bonner Springs girls swim team placed third in the WYCO swim championships last week. The 200-yard medley relay team of Madison Stumbough, Cassie Stock, Toni Stock and Lei’Onna Smith began the night with a first-place finish and season-best 2:10.83 mark, good enough to qualify the team for state competition.
The same team also qualified for state in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a 1:57.23 second-place finish. Cassie Stock later set a new meet record (0:27.62) with her first place 50-yard freestyle performance and also broke the meet mark in the 100-yard backstroke, also placing first. Toni Stock recorded a season-best time in the 100-yard butterfly, finishing first in the event.
