Vaughn-Trent Thrift Store seeks help for remodel
November 28, 2012
The Vaughn-Trent Thrift Store, 205 Oak Street, which benefits Vaughn-Trent Community Services, is seeking volunteer help from the community to remodel its space in the coming weeks.
Debbie Lohmann, executive director of Vaughn-Trent, said the store is seeking the following volunteers to help out as soon as possible:
• Someone who can frame out two walls.
• Some help hanging sheet rock.
• A painter with scaffolding.
• Any other able-bodied volunteers with a couple of afternoons to spare.
The store is having a sale through Saturday to help reduce its inventory during the remodeling. Customers who bring in three canned good items to donate to Vaughn-Trent can receive 40 percent off their entire sale.
For more information about volunteering, contact Evalyn, store manager, at the store at 913-441-2194.
