Bank gives back with Community Choice Challenge

Union Bank & Trust again is having its Community Choice Challenge, in which area residents vote for three local nonprofit organizations to receive a donation of up to $5,000.

Residents may now vote for one of the following organizations: The National Agricultural Center and Hall of Fame; Bonner Springs Rotary Scholarship Foundation; Bonner Springs YMCA; Bonner Springs Youth Football & Cheerleading; Edwardsville Kiwanis Scholarship Foundation; Operation WildLife; Sunflower House; Tiblow Transit; Vaughn-Trent; and the Wyandotte County Museum.

The top vote-getter will receive $5,000, while second place will receive $3,000 and third place will receive $2,000. Votes may be cast through noon, Oct. 19, online at ubt.com/ccc or in person at the bank, 309 Oak St.

Last year’s first place winner was Boy Scouts of America – Camp Naish, making them ineligible for this year’s contest. Second and third place winners were Sunflower House and Operation Wildlife.
