Piano classes offered this fall at KCKCC

A series of 10 beginning and intermediate piano classes will begin Saturday, Sept. 29, at Kansas City Kansas Community College.

Beginning Piano will be offered each Saturday from noon to 2:30 p.m. through Dec. 8; Intermediate Piano from 9 -11:30 a.m. Both classes will be in Room 2109 of the Humanities Building on the KCKCC campus, 7250 State Ave. There will be no classes on Nov. 24.

Beginning Piano is open to anyone high school age and older interested in having fun learning to play the piano. The required book for the course is Bastien Piano for Adults which can be purchased in the KCKCC Bookstore.

Intermediate Piano is a continuation of the 2012 Spring Beginning Piano class but is open to anyone who already has some experience playing piano and a basic knowledge of music theory. The class will continue using the book from the 2012 Spring semester, Adult Piano Adventures All-In-One Book 1 by Nancy Faber, also available in the bookstore.

Cost of the 10-week series is $109 for Beginning Piano; $125 for Intermediate Piano with a $10 discount to Prime Time members. Registration can be made by phone with credit card payment at 913-288-7660; or at kckcc.edu under Continuing Education and Fall 2012 schedule, Music and Dance.
