The American Civil Liberties Union today notified Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach that it will file a lawsuit in 90 days if the state doesn’t address the issue of approximately 14,000 voter registration applications that are in limbo because of a glitch in a new computer system that was supposed to add voter registration to driver’s license applications.

Austin Schuler’s lungs told him to slow down, that he started too fast at first. Unaccustomed to running up to 27 miles at a time, Schuler embarked on the Prairie Spirit Rail Trail’s start in Ottawa intending to run that distance four consecutive mornings.
BSHS soccer alumni, family members reunite for second-annual game

Call it a family reunion, call it an unofficial practice, but whatever you call it, call it fun. On Friday, alumni of the Bonner Springs High School soccer team mixed it up with current boys and girls athletes in the second annual Braves alumni game. Like an all-star game, the victor wasn’t as important as simply getting together. The exception in the crowd was a brewing brother-against-brother rivalry 18-years in the making.
