The Bonner Springs girls’ bid for a return to state came to an abrupt halt Friday with a 49-45 overtime loss to Tonganoxie in Class 4A sub-state semifinal action at THS.

A 38-year-old Basehor man has been sentenced to eight years in prison for attempting to hire someone to kill his wife, according to a news release issued by the U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Missouri.
