Sunflower Classic golf tournament postponed to March 30

Season opener postponed until March 30

The final weekend high school sporting event left standing has also been postponed because of expected winter weather.

Saturday’s Sunflower Classic golf tournament at Sunflower Hills Golf Course will now be played on March 30.

Forecasts call for a pair of storms to hit the area with up to six inches of snow possible. Saturday’s previously scheduled Bonner Springs baseball alumni game was also postponed to May 10.

Golf season will now start for BSHS and Basehor-Linwood with the Bonner Springs Invitational at 3 p.m. Thursday.
