The Basehor-Linwood softball team has swept three league doubleheaders in six days, carrying a six-game winning streak into Thursday’s doubleheader against Turner.

After the Bobcats (10-4) swept Bonner Springs (7-3 and 12-0) on Thursday, a game in which Allison Kasick and Katie Lackner each hit homeruns, BLHS continued its tear in league play early this week.

Jenna Donnelly hit two homeruns and Kasick belted a pair of triples in a 16-1 win against Lansing on Monday. Madison McDowell went 3-for-4 with two RBIs in a 10-5 win to clinch the sweep.

BLHS then overmatched Bishop Ward on Tuesday, winning 28-0 and 23-3 in a pair of three-inning routs. Candice Jennings hit a pair of triples and one homer in the sweep, and Donnelly again went the distance — twice.

After hosting Turner at 3:30 p.m. Thursday for the Bobcats’ annual Senior/Alumni Night — there are no seniors on the BLHS roster this season — BLHS will conclude league play Tuesday at Tonganoxie before ending the regular season in a makeup of what was initially scheduled to be the Bobcats’ season-opener at Blue Valley.
