Basehor PRIDE annual Earth Day clean up on Apr. 26

April 15, 2014

— The annual Basehor PRIDE Earth Day city wide clean up is Apr. 26 and the group is looking for more volunteers to help beautify Basehor this spring.

Basehor PRIDE is organizing the event, which relies on volunteers to help pick up trash around the community. Earth Day this year is Apr. 22nd.

Those interested in volunteering should bring work gloves and sturdy shoes, and meet at 8:30 a.m., Apr. 26, at the Basehor VFW Hall, 2805 N. 155th St.

The event will begin with a safety meeting, then trash bags and orange vests will be passed out before volunteers get to work.

For more information about the event, contact PRIDE representatives Chuck Wilderson at (913) 724-1057 or Orville Stokes at (913) 416-3154.
