Tuesday night’s Basehor City Council meeting was one with little on the agenda, but council members did agree to put something that hasn’t been discussed for a months on next the to-do list. Councilor Dick Drennon told the council he would like to discuss the city administrator position and the city’s need, or not, to fill the position.

Basehor’s Jamie Oberg was named a winner of a 2013 photography contest in which Kansas residents could submit photos in the categories of buildings/monuments, landscapes, recreation, weather and wildlife. Oberg took first place in the landscape category for a photo of a grain of wheat in front of a red sunset.
