Basehor library event shares ‘twisted’ fairy tale
April 15, 2015
The Basehor Community Library will have Twisted Fairy Tale Readers Theater for third- through fifth-grade students 4:30-6 p.m. Wednesday.
A twisted fairy tale is a traditional story that has been changed to make us laugh at the funny situations and silly characters. And Readers Theater is where children perform by reading a script that has been adapted from a story. This month’s ‘twisted’ fairy tale is “The Three Little Wolves and the Big Bad Pig” by Eugene Trivizas.
Participants will have a snack to eat and drink while listening to the fairy tale and then will practice the script and pick out props. At 6 p.m., the participants will perform for an audience; families are encouraged to come. Registration required; contact the library at 913-724-2828.
