USD 458 students accepted into honor choirs

November 4, 2015

Twelve Basehor-Linwood middle and high school students were accepted into honor choirs for the American Choral Director’s Association Southwest Division Conference to be held at the Kauffman Center in Kansas City, Mo., this spring.

To be chosen, students had to make a multi-step recorded audition and compete against singers from Kansas, Missouri, Colorado, Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas and Louisiana. District 458 has had students participate in these honor choirs before but never more than two in the same year.

Basehor-Linwood Middle School students accepted into the honor choirs are Lillian Bogard, Jillian Carey, Lexi Fishe, Kniya Harris, Chloe Kiper, Madi Messer, Isabel Sibert and Sonya Zamora, with Kelsey Mosiman selected as an alternate.

Basehor-Linwood High School students accepted into the honor choirs are Jasper Dare, Kaitlyn George, Claudia Jacobs and Faith Leonard.
