BLHS volleyball players earn All-KVL honors

November 13, 2015

The Basehor-Linwood volleyball team had an excellent season, finishing with a 26-12 overall record and appearance in the sub-state finals. The Lady Bobcats fell to eventual Class 4A-I state champion Bishop Miege in that match.

Because of that collective success, several of the Lady Bobcats were recognized on an individual level recently when the All-Kaw Valley League teams were revealed.

Three senior players were given all-league recognition: Madi Osterhaus, Jaime Weible and Courtney Norris were given all-league status. Senior Courtney Robinson was given honorable mention.

Osterhaus led the team with 277 kills and was third in blocks with 47. Weible, the team’s libero, led the Lady Bobcats with 231 digs and was third in assists with 53. Norris was second on the team with 220 kills, led the squad with 47 aces, and was second in digs with 136.
