Lady Bobcats take fifth at Lansing Invitational
The Basehor-Linwood volleyball team took fifth place at the Lansing Invitational over the weekend, finishing with a 4-2 record.
The Lady Bobcats (13-2) went 2-2 in pool play, beating Shawnee Mission North (25-14, 25-12) and Spring Hill (25-15, 25-9) before falling to Lansing (25-23, 14-25, 19-25) and Shawnee Mission East (18-25, 17-25).
In the consolation bracket, Basehor-Linwood defeated De Soto (25-15, 23-25, 25-15) in the first round. The Lady Bobcats then defeated Topeka Seaman (21-25, 25-20, 25-15) in the fifth-place match.
Basehor-Linwood will be back in action at 6 p.m. tonight as it travels to take on Tonganoxie.
