Basehor, Bonner locations available for prescription safe disposal

Law enforcement officers across the state will be collecting unused, leftover medications for safe disposal on Saturday, including three locations in Basehor and Bonner Springs.
Medications will be accepted at drop-off sites across the state from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday. In Basehor, the Basehor Police Department will take medications at the Basehor Community Library, 1400 N. 158th St.
The Bonner Springs Police Department will take medications at Price Chopper, 501 S. Commercial Dr., and the Wyandotte County Sheriff’s Office will be taking medications at DeGoler’s Pharmacy, 202 Oak St.
The collection events are part of a nationwide effort to safely dispose of leftover medications to prevent accidental or intentional misuse. To find other locations, visit ag.ks.gov.
