Cord blood donation available at two additional metro hospitals

Beginning today, Menorah Medical Center and Shawnee Mission Medical Center have joined Saint Luke’s Hospital’s Cord Blood Program and now offer mothers the option to donate their newborn baby’s umbilical cord blood to help those in need of a stem cell transplant.
Wild horses, burros up for adoption in Tonganoxie

Wild horses and burros will be up for adoption Friday and Saturday in Tonganoxie. The U.S. Bureau of Land Management will have the two-day event noon-6 p.m. Friday and 8-10 a.m. Saturday at the Leavenworth County Fairgrounds.
