- Marc McClain led the Bonner Springs boys golf team with an 11th-place finish at Monday’s Class 4A state tournament in Cheney.

- One day after earning the final place in the girls 400-yard freestyle relay consolation finals during preliminaries on Friday, the Braves improved to 15th at Saturday’s Class 5-1A state swimming and diving championships at the Capitol Federal Natatorium.

- The Basehor-Linwood track and field team qualified for state in three relay and six individual events at Friday’s Class 4A regional meet in Baldwin. The BLHS girls placed third overall with 46 points, behind De Soto (51.5) and Baldwin. Meanwhile, Bonner Springs’ boys team placed sixth out of 16 teams, qualifying three individuals and one relay team.
