The Tonganoxie High softball team’s home doubleheader against Basehor-Linwood, originally scheduled for today, has been postponed until 4 p.m. Tuesday because of poor field conditions. The Chieftains are currently 2-0 and the Bobcats are 4-0. Both teams are 2-0 in Kaw Valley League play.

In his final high school season, Basehor-Linwood senior John Hopper elevated his performance on wrestling mat to new heights. Hopper’s career in a Bobcat singlet came to an end at the state tournament in March, but his time as a wrestler is far from over.

When Jeff Vestal first took over as Basehor-Linwood’s baseball coach, players admitted the transition wasn’t as smooth as they’d hoped. About three weeks later, the Bobcats have adapted and are ready to put their hard work into motion.
