Funeral Services for Velma F. Elliott, 96, Tonganoxie, will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 12 at Tonganoxie Christian Church, 204 Washington St. in Tonganoxie.
Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in Harmony-Evergreen Cemetery, in Savonburg.
Mrs. Elliott died Tuesday, April 8, 2008, at Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan.
Mrs. Elliott was born April 3, 1912, in Savonburg, the daughter of Marion and Lois Young Weddle. She was a 1930 graduate of Elsmore High School in Elsmore. She married George J. Elliott on Oct. 19, 1932, in Erie. He preceded her in death Nov. 6, 1983. Mrs. Elliott also was preceded in death by her daughter, Shirley Lois Elliott, in 1935.
Survivors include her daughter, Susan Knick, Gladstone, Mo.; three sons, George, Shawnee, Darrell, Tonganoxie, and Jim, Linwood; her sister, Wanda Crabb, Basehor; 15 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
