Shirley Faye Taylor 1938 - 2008 Bonner Springs
Services for Shirley Faye Taylor, 70, of Bonner Springs, will be at 10 a.m. Friday, April 18, at Bonner Springs United Methodist Church (425 W. Morse) with burial in Oaklawn Memorial Cemetery, Olathe.
Mrs. Taylor died Tuesday April 15, 2008, at Kansas City Hospice House.
She was born April 13, 1938, in Kansas City, Mo., the daughter of Thomas and Faye Dailey.
Mrs. Taylor was a longtime and very active member of Bonner Springs United Methodist Church, where she was in the Choir and took pride in decorating the church for various functions. She was also a member of the Heart of America Painting Association.
She married Jerry L. Taylor on July 13, 1956, in Overland Park. He survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Gregory T. Taylor, Bonner Springs, and Neil O. Taylor, Lawrence; three daughters, Dawn E. Taylor, Shawnee, Lora L. Lewis, Olathe, and Cari A. Taylor-Hutson, Bonner Springs; two sisters, Barbara J. Rinker, North Kansas City, Mo., and Billie Ann Getz, Merriam; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandson on the way.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, also at the church.
