Services for JoAnn Poterbin, 74, Tonganoxie, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2008, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Tonganoxie. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the church where the Rosary will be said at 7 p.m.
Mrs. Poterbin died Friday, Aug. 15, 2008, at Providence Medical Cetner, Kansas City, Kan.
She was born Feb. 21, 1934, in Kansas City, Kan.,, the daughter of James and Ursula (Carr) Hulbert. She was a homemaker and had worked for Peruvian Connection, Tonganoxie. She was a member of Friendship Valley Get Together Club, Sacred Heart Catholic Church and its Altar Society. On Aug. 13, 1955, she married John R. Poterbin in Kansas City, Kan.
She is survived by her husband, John, of the home; son, John F., Tonganoxie; daughter, Ursula Kissinger, Tonganoxie; and five grandchildren.
