Lorene Mae Weaver, 89, of Bonner Springs, previously of Humansville, Mo., died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2008, at Shawnee Gardens Nursing Home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home with burial in the Bonner Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Cancer Society, both in care of the funeral home.

Mrs. Weaver was born on June 27, 1918, in Olden, Mo., to Joseph and Celia (Collins) Anderson. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse and retired after working for many years in the emergency room at Providence/St. Margaret's Hospital in Kansas City, Kan.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil F. Weaver, and by one daughter, Bonnie Sue Murphy, and one son, Herbert F. Weaver. Survivors include a daughter, Geraldine Garman of Bonner Springs; three sisters, Betty Solomon of Corpus Christi, Texas; Martha Nalley of Humansville, Mo.; and Opal Smith of Edgerton; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren and numerous great-great grandchildren.
